THE PROBUS CLUB OF ASHFORD
The Probus Club of Ashford meets twice monthly at the Sandyhurst Pavilion, Sandyhurst Lane Ashford, TN25 4PE
Coffee Mornings at Sandyhurst Sports Pavilion take place on the second Friday of each month when we relax, socialise and enjoy a talk by a topical, professional speaker.
On the fourth Friday there is a convivial and very enjoyable Members’ Lunch. A Probus Club is not a retirement club, but seeks to bring together local people who, having retired from the Professional or Business World, now have the time and interest to make new friends, and enjoy new, or re-visit old activities. Sandyhurst Pavilion is a comfortable venue with wonderful views towards Westwell. Don’t worry if you are hard of hearing, you’re in good company and our guest speakers use a very good sound system.
So, if you are retired and have time you would like to fill with friendly, enjoyable and interesting company, why not drop in and see us at our coffee morning at Sandyhurst Pavilion. We will be very pleased to see you. Just turn up at about 10.30 for coffee, and introduce yourself to any member who will be pleased to welcome you.
*** The present club rules have changed and ladies are now most welcome to become club members. Previously, ladies only came to meetings as visitors, but now membership has changed and members would very much like more ladies to join The Probus Club Of Ashford. ***
BUT IT IS NOT ALL COFFEE and LUNCHES. Our Club has a very active and competitive mixed bowls section, and this year we are hoping again to have the facility to play mixed croquet, joining another very friendly local club. We also arrange days out to places of interest and the theatre, and are always happy to hear our members’ suggestions for outing and events.
