The Murrayfield Cramond branch of Probus is a social club for retired business and professional men. Our branch was formed in 1989 and meets in the Edinburgh Room of the Royal Burgess Golfing Society clubhouse, overlooking the course, on the first and third Wednesday of each month from October to March.

The usual format is to meet at 10.30am for coffee and a chat followed by an illustrated talk at 11am, covering a range of interesting topics. During the recent session we enjoyed talks about the midair hijacking of a Boeing 747, the Beatles, brain health, Deacon Brodie, the care of wildlife in Africa, and the Falklands War, amongst others. There is the option after every meeting of staying on to socialise, lunching together in the splendid setting of the Royal Burgess Dining Room.

We are a very friendly bunch – why not take the opportunity to join us and learn something new? We invite you, or someone you know, to come along and give us a try. Out of town and overseas members of Probus are also welcome.
