Shady Garden
Taunton Flower show is the oldest flower show in the country, having been held in Vivary Park, Taunton, for 187 years.
Dorothy Anderson, one of our members, was allocated a pitch in the large floral marquee to build a display garden (plus sales tables). It takes a year to work out a design, grow and obtain the plants and build the design.
2026 was her third year in Taunton. Much to her delight she was awarded the highest medal, a Large Gold, for the ‘Shady Garden’. Whether it will be possible to follow that in 2027 remains to be seen!’
