PROBUS Club Southampton East
Our club was formed in 1981 and has developed over the years. We now have a reduced membership of around 26 since we have suffered with losses and resignations due to Covid restrictions, as have many organisations, but we continue to soldier on and try to recruit new members when possible. We remain a friendly, sociable and vibrant club despite having fewer members. We have recently invested in an overhead projector so that we can show suitable DVD’s when we do not have a speaker, (such as the History of Flying or New Forest Wartime Aerodromes).
We meet at 10.30am on the third Wednesday of every month at The Masonic Hall, Manor Road South, Woolston, Southampton, SO19 2DS when we have a short business meeting followed by a speaker and a two course luncheon (at very reasonable cost!!). A pay bar is available. We arrange outings when possible; we invite our ladies to a ‘Ladies Day’ at our June meeting and hold a Christmas luncheon for members, guests and partners..
